The Consultation Institute’s Mission is to seek to promote the highest standards of public, stakeholder and employee consultation by initiating research, publications and specialist events in order to disseminate best practice and improve subsequent decision-making.

The Institute has a wide range of services available to the consultation and engagement community - individuals can enhance their career prospects by attending our training courses and events while organisations can use us to give authority to their consultation work and projects.

Launch of the Huddersfield Centre for Communication and Consultation Research (HCCCR).

In a collaboration between Huddersfield University’s School of Music, Humanities and Media and the Consultation Institute, plans have been laid to make the Yorkshire-based facility the principal focus for research in a hitherto neglected area.

The collaboration was formally launched on 12th June, when the Institute started celebrating its 10th Anniversary Year and when the University unveiledl its plans to review a wide range of academic work on public consultation
