Big Society
The Institute has held a number of events to discuss The Big Society and its implications.
What’s emerged is that many Councils are now trying to prepare strategies or write position papers ... and given that there is no ‘blueprint’ to follow and that political and operational starting-points vary so much, this is going to be a challenge.
To assist we are holding a number of events and publishing a range of Briefing and other papers. These are shown elsewhere on this page but please contact Martin Woodrow if you need further information.
NEW!!! We have also prepared a programme of in-house Briefings and Workshops on Localism & the Big Society which can accelerate understanding, absorb best practice and help officers and elected members to get to grips with the opportunities and challenges of government policy.
