Brenda Cook is a consultant and facilitator with specialist expertise of stakeholder involvement in influencing service development, within health and other public sector services. Her experience includes providing training and development in patient and public involvement, policy and strategy development, personal and team development, change management and service reviews.
She is the author of a series of national guides on implementing the scrutiny of health services by local authorities, published by the Centre for Public Scrutiny.
Brenda has previously worked for the Department of Health, the Commission for Patient and Public Involvement in Health, and a number of local authorities in both strategic and operational roles. She has also worked with NHS organisations at national, regional and local levels and on behalf of the Long-term conditions Alliance, in its role as a member of the consortium that makes up the NHS Centre for Involvement.
