Paolo has extensive experience of promoting and developing civic participation and consultation within the public sector in Scotland. He was an elected member of Edinburgh District Council from 1984 – 92, a senior policy officer with the Scottish Arts Council, Director of the Scottish Local Government Information Unit and also a Policy Manager with COSLA.
Paolo has researched and written extensively on good practice in consultation and has experience of a wide range of techniques to consult the public, special interest groups and stakeholders.
Paolo co-founded Hexagon Research and Consulting in 2004. The company provides a wide range of research and consulting services for clients in the public and not for profit sector.
