Ian Ashcroft
Ian has spent all of his working life in ‘People Management’. Having graduated in Business Management, he spent the next twelve years working with medium-size private companies and multinational conglomerates. They operated in electronics, electrical wholesaling, engineering, retail clothing, and distribution. Ian’s last corporate appointment was as European Personnel Director for a US multinational company that manufactured components for the Space Shuttle.
Following this successful early career, Ian established Ashway Associates– a small, specialist provider of HR services primarily to the SME market. In addition to assisting and supporting a wide range of medium-size companies, he has also worked with some major and highly prestigious blue-chip organisations – BAT Industries, British Airways, HID Corporation, Group 4, ASSA-ABLOY, Gunnebo Industrier and others.
He was asked to work in Bulgaria and Poland for the European Bank, and has recently completed a 3-year assignment for the Haymarket Media Group as Interim HR Director
Ian is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, and a Fellow of the Institute of Directors.
He is the author of the Consultation Institute’s White Paper on employee consultation entitled “Time to Decide”, and his management book entitled “The Common Sense Guide to Managing People” is due for publication this year.
