The Institute has operated in Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland since 2003, having run over 40 training courses and held a large number of seminars, workshops and specialist events on subjects including Consultation with Children & Young People, Consultation with the Older Generations, Engaging the Hard-to-Reach  and Consultation & the Media. Quintin Oliver, the Institute Chair lives and works in Belfast
