Special Advisor Profile
Rhidian Jones has 20 years of experience working with Local Authorities and the NHS. Initially working with Glasgow City Council on their first digital comms and engagement strategy in 1997, he then worked with South West Peninsula Strategic Health Authority to develop the NHS Service Redesign Assessment Tool, which was the first on-line tool of its kind in the NHS. He then worked with the NHS Modernisation Agency for several years on areas including Critical Care, Dentistry, Cardiac Networks, and the Communication of significant change, before founding his own comms agency in 2006.
From 2010-2013 he worked with over 30 NHS bodies, implementing programmes to extend the reach of NHS Health Checks beyond the GP setting. Since joining the Institute in 2014, Rhidian has been responsible for managing our most significant contracts with NHS and Local Government, using his knowledge to devise ways in which the Institute can deliver greater value to its members in these sectors.
Outside of his Institute work, Rhidian acts as an occasional advisor to the BBC, and sits on the development Board of Wellchild, the national charity for sick children.
