This Call for Evidence is very significant.
The House of Lords has set up a committee to explore the issues of citizenship and civic engagement in the 21st Century. They are seeking the views of the public to understand the challenges for different parts of society with regards to citizenship, and identify new ways of building bridges within and between communities.
This is because of the apparent low level of confidence in the effectiveness of our political system and a concern that sections of society feel “left behind”.
The Institute is drafting a response and is seeking your views on what you think we should respond with.
