Latest Law is coming soon
Keeping Institute members up-to-date on the ever-growing body of case law is a real challenge. We rely on regular blog-style articles on the website but have found that our periodic Latest Law videos are also useful.
Today we started editing the latest edition having interviewed leading lawyers on cases where they were involved. We are focusing on five specific legal challenges:
- A Council challenging a decision to exclude the option of a tunnel for a new road in Merseyside
- A Government department disregarding consultation responses about Fracking
- A Court of Appeal ruling on the controversy surrounding Horton hospital, Banbury
- Two cases about failures to consult on services for Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND)
As always, the aim is to look beyond the immediate facts and tease out the practical implications for consultation practitioners. Our summaries are no substitute for attending our Law of Consultation training courses, and our next course in Birmingham on 12th June will feature these and other recent cases.
Better still, for those who really need an in-depth appreciation of these legal developments, we can now offer a two-day comprehensive Masterclass.
Register here, and we will notify you as soon as Latest Law is available to watch !
