Managing NHS Service Change
The NHS service change process can appear daunting and full of risk. Because of this, organisations fail to deliver the qualitative and financial improvements service change brings with negative consequences for high quality patient care and finances.
Managing NHS Service Change is a one day course designed for NHS managers, clinical leads, engagement and communication leads working in organisations which are planning, or thinking about, making service changes which may require public consultation. The day will cover:
- the legal framework and governance
- initial preparation including programme governance and management
- stakeholder mapping, pre-consultation engagement and managing the external environment
- developing the Pre Consultation Business Case
- preparation for consultation and the consultation itself, making a final decision
- implementation, potential appeals and risk mitigation
