The consultation period for a proposed incinerator in Hoddesdon has been extended.
Hertfordshire County Council (HCC) announced yesterday that the consultation period for a proposed Veolia incinerator in Rattys Lane would be extended due to technical difficulties.
The deadline for public comments, which had been March 1, has been extended to March 31.
The extension is due to a delay by Veolia in producing DVDs of the planning application for members of the public.
The application has caused concern among residents in Hoddesdon who have launched a petition against the incinerator.
One of the major issues that residents have is air pollution, however Veolia has said that air quality has been considered thoroughly when they produced the plans.
