Reacting to feedback – positive and negative
When we ask for client feedback on any of tCI’s products and services, it’s because what you say and think, matters a lot.
Even when feedback is negative, we understand it’s written to help improve the product and your own experience in the future. Feedback is valuable to us and provides essential insights for the Institute to consider.
Since the launch of our e-Learning programme in 2018, we’ve received an abundance of client feedback. We’re delighted to say that most of this feedback has been positive, but there has been a common theme amongst the more constructively critical comments. Users have been quick to point out that the absence of a video play-bar, which would enable them to pause the presentation or watch in full-screen mode, is an issue. It mostly affected those working in open office environments; the inability to pause or rewind when they had missed something was affecting their learning experience.
The lack of a video play-bar was due to restrictions with the course development software and proved to be a big drawback. We’ve taken this issue on board, and we’re delighted to announce that with a change of development software. We’ve now begun the process of replacing the existing courses with a new format, which includes an all-important video play-bar. The user is now able to view in full-screen mode, pause the presentation, scroll backwards and skip to the desired slide using the table of contents option.
At the date of publishing, we’ve replaced four courses and expect all content to be working in the new format by 8th November 2019.
We hope that this much-desired change improves the e-Learning experience for our loyal members and clients. We want to take this opportunity to thank all those who have participated in any of our e-Learning courses to date and a special mention to those who have taken the time to feedback their experiences – it does count!
