Conducing a Public Consultation (CPC) gives participants the knowledge and confidence to manage the full consultation process. The course covers:
- Governance, accountability, and the Gunning Principles
- Stakeholder analysis and consultation planning
- Designing multi-channel engagement and accessible consultation materials
- Developing clear consultation narratives and documents
- Monitoring and managing live consultations.
- Analysing responses and reporting findings objectively
- Supporting transparent, evidence-based decision-making
- Managing risks, errors, criticism, and common pitfalls
- Feeding back effectively to stakeholders and consultees
Throughout, participants work through a detailed case study showing how planning, engagement, analysis, and decision-making connect in practice.
