Conducing a Public Consultation (CPC) gives participants the knowledge and confidence to manage the full consultation process. The course covers:

  • Governance, accountability, and the Gunning Principles
  • Stakeholder analysis and consultation planning
  • Designing multi-channel engagement and accessible consultation materials
  • Developing clear consultation narratives and documents
  • Monitoring and managing live consultations.
  • Analysing responses and reporting findings objectively
  • Supporting transparent, evidence-based decision-making
  • Managing risks, errors, criticism, and common pitfalls
  • Feeding back effectively to stakeholders and consultees

Throughout, participants work through a detailed case study showing how planning, engagement, analysis, and decision-making connect in practice.
