Creating a Coding Frame for Text Responses Half-day
Knowing how to code is an essential skill in ensuring that text, audio and video responses and submissions can be turned into information to support understanding the perspectives of stakeholders and effective decision making.
Knowing how to code also reduces an over reliance on quantitative responses.
Creating a Coding Frame for Text Responses is a specialist course designed as a more detailed look at this aspect of the analysis of qualitative data. It should be considered as an expansion of a section of the ‘Data Analysis and Report Writing’ course. It will examine:
- Introduction to Grounded Theory
- The coding process, and why it is important to understand it, even against a background of using AI to analyse text responses
- Details of how coding is done in the context of what it aims to achieve
- Consideration of guidelines around the use of AI and other technologies for analysing qualitative data
