Option Development and Appraisal for Consultation
Everyone thinks they know what the best option is! Unless there has been a thorough process to establish a ‘best option(s)’ they are usually wrong.
The Courts are happy to examine the integrity of your approach to what you consult upon. Today, public expectations are for involvement, not being done to. So, learning good practice approaches are important.
This course, Options Development and Appraisal for Consultation, will start by demonstrating theoretical models for options development and provide an understanding of how poor process contributes to failure and challenge. Participants will then role play, taking part in a codesign session for a real life scenario. It then moves on to explore the different ways in which long, medium and short lists of options can be appraised, discussing what might be used in different scenarios.
Participants then participate in an exercise in deciding an approach to a real life scenario, designing a process and simulating it.
