Associate Opportunities
We are currently building a small, trusted network of associates to support our work across consultation assurance, training, and strategic advisory.  This is not a call for full-time staff. We do expect to recruit permanent roles in the near future – but at this stage, our focus is on experienced professionals who can contribute on a flexible, assignment-by-assignment basis.
Who we work with
We are interested in hearing from individuals with:
- Proven experience in public consultation, engagement, or decision-making
- Sector knowledge in areas such as health, local government, infrastructure, or regulation
- Strong skills in analysis, facilitation, policy, or training delivery
- The ability to work independently to defined scopes, quality standards, and deadlines
Associates represent the Institute in front of senior clients and public bodies. We are therefore looking for individuals who are credible, reliable, and aligned with our professional values.
Areas of work
Associate assignments typically fall into one of the following categories:
- Quality Assurance – reviewing consultation plans, processes, and documentation
- Certificated Training – delivering structured learning programmes for practitioners
- Strategic Advisory – providing coaching, facilitation, or risk-based input for senior teams
Work is always scoped and priced in advance. We do not place interims, and we do not operate on open-ended day rates without defined outcomes.
How to express interest
If you are interested in working with us as an associate, please email info@consultationinstitute.org with:
- Your CV or LinkedIn profile
- A short summary of your sector experience and areas of expertise
- The types of assignments you would be best suited to deliver
We are not maintaining a general pool of applicants. Expressions of interest will be reviewed on a rolling basis, and we will contact you if there is a potential fit.
