Institute Associate Profile

Ade is a very experienced and highly skilled community consultation and engagement professional. His skills areas are widening engagement and participation among excluded and vulnerable groups, and building alliances between these groups and service providers such as local authorities and other public sector institutions such as the Police, and also the Voluntary and Community Sector, to ensure their voice is heard and considered in policy decisions.

Ade has helped set up organisations focused advocating for BAME communities on better life outcomes in the criminal justice and health sector.  He has also successfully delivered diversity and inclusion, and stakeholder engagement projects while at Shelter. He led in improving relationships between the Mayor of London’s Office for Police and Crime, and stakeholder and community organisations advocating for inclusive and fairer criminal justice policies.  He currently chairs his Local Police Independent Advisory Group, coordinating community scrutiny of Essex Police and raising awareness around crime prevention.
