Stakeholder Mapping for Public Consultation
Any competent engagement and consultation programme starts with having a good understanding of your stakeholders, and anticipating both how they will react and how they need to be involved.
This course focuses on what is different when it comes to deploying stakeholder mapping in a consultation context, as opposed, to more generic issues.
In this course, we introduce the concept and basic methodology of stakeholder mapping based upon an interest/influence matrix. We explore identification and profiling, the techniques involved and the tests you can apply to aid your mapping.
We’ve created three fictional, but realistic scenarios from the worlds of Health, Planning and Airports, to help you understand how mapping works, and how it enables you to treat each group or individual to the best advantage.
“Great to refresh my knowledge on stakeholder mapping, the course was very clear and comprehensive. Will certainly recommend to others.”
Amanda Wells, Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service
