Paul Parsons

Institute Fellow and Associate Profile

Paul is a vocal champion of good communication with more than 20 years’ experience of effectively involving people and communities in policy and service change. He has supported dozens of NHS and other public sector organisations who want to deliver service change at pace, meet legal duties and regulatory requirements, and maintain the trust of the people they serve. From individual service moves to system-wide transformation programmes, he specialises in identifying, planning for, and managing the risks of conducting public consultations on potentially contentious proposals.

Paul supports Institute members and clients with advice, conducts quality assurance exercises and consultation risks reviews, delivers executive briefings, and develops and delivers training on preparing for and conducting public consultations, and equality and health inequality issues. He is a member of the Institute’s Policy Council. He set up and convenes the Institute’s practice group for associates working with health sector clients.

In his spare time, Paul is a keen community volunteer. He enjoys riding a bicycle and writing about it.
