Modern slavery & human trafficking statement

The steps we take to make sure modern slavery and human trafficking have no place in our business or in the suppliers and associates we work with.

Modern Slavery Statement · Financial year ending 2026 · Last updated 9 July 2026

Our commitment to tackling modern slavery

This statement is made under section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015. It sets out the steps tCI Group Limited ("tCI", "we") has taken during the financial year ending 2026 to make sure that modern slavery and human trafficking are not taking place in any part of our business or our supply chains.

Modern slavery is a crime and a violation of fundamental human rights. We have a zero-tolerance approach. We act ethically and with integrity in all our relationships, and to putting in place effective systems and controls to guard against slavery and trafficking anywhere in our operations.

01Our organisation

tCI Group Limited is a UK-based professional body and provider of training, membership, advisory and quality-assurance services in the field of public consultation and engagement. We operate primarily in England and Wales through a small team of employees supported by a network of specialist associate trainers, facilitators and advisers. We do not manufacture goods and have no overseas operations.

02Our supply chains

Our supply chains are relatively short and, we assess, low-risk. They are made up predominantly of UK-based professional and business services rather than the manufacturing, agriculture or overseas-labour sectors where the risk of modern slavery is highest. Our main categories of supplier are:

Associates

Self-employed trainers, facilitators and expert advisers engaged on our associate terms.

Venues & hospitality

Training venues, conference facilities and catering for in-person events.

Technology

Software, hosting and IT platforms that run our website, learning platform and tools.

Print & design

Design, print and production of learning materials and publications.

Professional services

Accountancy, legal, insurance and other professional advisers.

Facilities

Office premises, utilities and general operational suppliers.

We recognise that a low overall risk does not mean no risk, and that certain categories, such as venues, hospitality and outsourced facilities services, can carry a higher exposure to labour exploitation. We keep this under review.

03Our policies

The following policies set out our stance and support our approach to identifying and preventing modern slavery. They are reviewed regularly and available to all staff and associates.

i.Anti-slavery & human trafficking policy, our zero-tolerance position and how concerns are raised and acted on.
ii.Recruitment & right to work, identity and eligibility checks for everyone we engage.
iii.Whistleblowing policy: a safe, confidential route for anyone to report wrongdoing without fear of reprisal.
iv.Code of conduct: the ethical standards we expect of staff, associates and suppliers.
v.Supplier & procurement standards, expectations we ask suppliers to meet, including compliance with the Modern Slavery Act.

04Due diligence

Our due diligence is proportionate to our size and risk profile. During the year we:

·Carried out right-to-work and identity checks for all new employees and associates before engagement.
·Paid all staff and associates at or above statutory minimums, directly and through proper payroll and contracting arrangements.
·Included compliance expectations in our associate agreements and, where appropriate, in supplier contracts.
·Favoured established, reputable suppliers and reviewed higher-risk categories such as venues and hospitality.
·Maintained a confidential whistleblowing route so concerns can be raised and investigated promptly.

05Risk assessment

We assess where the risk of modern slavery is most likely to arise across our activities and suppliers, and match our controls accordingly.

06Training & awareness

All staff are made aware of the risks of modern slavery and human trafficking as part of induction and ongoing awareness. Colleagues involved in recruitment, procurement and supplier management receive additional guidance on spotting the warning signs and on the checks and escalation routes to follow if they have concerns.

07Measuring effectiveness
