Booking terms and conditions
Please read these booking conditions carefully. When you make a booking with us, you agree to be bound by these terms.
Cooling-off period
You may cancel without penalty within 24 hours of booking, unless the event starts within 24 hours of booking. After this, the cancellation terms below apply.
Confirmation of bookings
tCI does not accept provisional bookings. All bookings are firm commitments. You will receive a confirmation email, please check the details and contact us immediately if anything is incorrect.
How to cancel
Cancellation requests must be made by email to hello@consultationinstitute.org. Your cancellation is complete when we send a confirmation email. We cannot accept telephone cancellations.
Delegate substitutions
You may substitute a different delegate. No charge 7 days or more before the event; a £25.00 administration fee applies fewer than 7 days before.
Payment terms
Invoices are due within 30 days, or before the event date, whichever is sooner. Your place is confirmed once payment is received in full.
If we cancel or change your booking
We will offer a transfer to the next available date or an equivalent event, notify you promptly, and work with you to find a solution. We accept no liability for travel or accommodation costs.

Membership terms and conditions
By applying for membership, you agree to these terms.

Eligibility and registration
Provide accurate details. Membership is for the named individual or named users on a corporate plan, and is non-transferable except where a member leaves the listed organisation or changes role.

Term and renewal
Membership starts when we confirm registration and receive payment, and runs for the stated term. We notify you in advance of any renewal fee and term.

Fees and payment
Full payment activates benefits. Fees are non-refundable unless these terms or the law say otherwise. We may change fees, notifying members before the next term.

Benefits
Members receive access to content, events, learning discounts and tools. We may add, change or withdraw benefits during the term, aiming to keep overall value comparable.

Conduct and fair use
Treat staff, associates and other members with respect. Do not share member-only content, logins or discounts outside your membership.

Cancellations and refunds
Organisation memberships are normally non-refundable. Consumers may have a 14-day cooling-off right if no benefits have been used.

Ending membership
You may end your membership at any time by emailing us; no refund is due unless Section 6 applies. We may end membership for breach, non-payment or misuse.

Changes & governing law
We may update these terms, posting changes and emailing active members for material changes. Governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Complaints policy & procedure
We hold our own work to the standard we set for the sector. If we fall short, tell us. We will listen, put it right, and resolve the matter fairly.
How to complain
Step 1 · Informal
Most issues resolve quickly through direct discussion. Speak to your tCI contact, or email hello@consultationinstitute.org with a brief description.
Step 2 · Formal
Email hello@consultationinstitute.org (subject "Formal Complaint") with your details, what happened, the service involved, and the outcome you seek.
What happens next
i.Acknowledgement within 2 working days.
ii.Independent review by a manager not involved in the matter.
iii.Full written response within 10 working days of acknowledgement.
If unresolved, escalate to the Chief Executive, then an independent review by the Chair. Data-protection concerns can also go to the ICO at ico.org.uk · 0303 123 1113.
